Today I made the first version of engine mounts, I also attached gearbox behind the engine with a few bolts to be sure it fits. I had to shorten oilpan's sump a little bit to get whole package in a good position.

Earlier this week me and my friend fixed the engine mount attachments from the block with a special welding stick, wasn't the easiest thing to weld:

Ran out of argon this week so I've done some sheetmetal work to the rear end with MAG.

Should be roomy enough, wheel shouldn't ever reach that point when the shock absorber is mounted.

Drivetrain almost acquired, only need to find suitable output shafts and of course there's a little bit of fitting.

TYP230 differential, 3.62 ratio:

Long time no see, time for a little update.

I've been working with the front end for a couple of days and this is what it looks like:

Route for engine bay hot air exit marked with the red arrows:


From the other side, you can see the mounting points for removable strut brace.


Then the rear axle needs a little work too...

I've ordered a water-to-air intercooler kit, the intercooler will sit right in front of the engine and the radiator in the trunk.

Today's quick update:

Made this removable strut brace from 30mm pipe and it's fastened with four M12 bolts. Didn't weld it completely yet if I have to modify it later, hope not.

Hello folks, got some new pictures of the project and it will soon look like a car I think Lot's of sheet metal work done and the hardest part might be over now.

I'm a little bit excited because I should get this car on track next year!! Lots of work to be done, lots of hours at the garage..

I installed top mounts to the chassis right after christmas:


After that I started to build the rear axle, parts fitted to the jig:

Lite har hänt igen...

I got this order from my friend a while ago, including rear trailing arm adjusting parts, rear axle carrier big ends and rear upper spring plates. 25 row oil cooler beneath:

This weekend I built rear trailing arms ready, first I fitted parts to the jig, then made sure it sits in the rear axle carrier:

Recently I modified the axle carrier mounting points to meet the modified trailing arms:


Carrier is now almost finished, only a pair of extra fastening to the chassis needed..

Today I played a little with TIG AC mode, changed the oil filler cap location:

Both languages are ok, but English feels a little easier I "imgtag" main pictures and all extra pics are just links. If you like to see more of the object, just click the links below..
Also some people read these threads with mobiles or just have a slow connection, so I try to make their lives easier.
