Drive it

This car was purchased at auction in Reno around 1994 by previous owner in Modesto Ca. and underwent a 2 year frame off professional resto-modification of over $100,000. The car was all mono-chromatic with no chrome and had billet wheels and low profile tires. the car then basically sat in his collection for 2 years with only 1250 miles put on it. I purchased the car through a broker in 2006 and drove it 400 miles home without a burp. The first thing I did was to drain all the fluids and flush all of the systems out and put in new fluids. We also changed out the valve seals, some gaskets, all hoses and belt because of it sitting for so long. Over the past three years I have put a 4-corner airbag system on it, 4-link rear with 1" panhard, had the bumpers smoothed and chromed and put in a chrome stock grill. I have a friend that owns a wheel company and he had this wire wheels custom made guaranteed to take the torque of the 502. I also changed out the low profile tires for wide white Yokohama radials. I then replaced the billet stuff on the motor and put in a repro. Cadillac air cleaner with striping and old school finned valve covers, along with a new single wire alternator. The cooling system is Water/wetter with distilled water and a flange drilled thermostat that keeps the big block running nice and cool. I removed the retro padded dash panel and installed a re-chromed speaker grill with glove box which has a new sound system in it with a 5 cd stacker in the trunk with all speakers hidden and on remote. The rear axle decided to come apart one day on a cruise so we pulled the axle apart and replaced both sides along with new bearings and plates and yes they are now welded in. I had the th400 pulled out and had a 700r4 custom built and installed in 08'. I have put a little over 4000 miles on her and think I have all of the new car bugs worked out of it. This car starts right up and runs real strong. You can cruise up the freeway for hours, low and slow around town or burn sixty footers-no problem. I have had this car for just over three years now and I am ready for a change.
