Här kommer en fin samlingstråd som kommer uppdateras flitigt närmsta dagarna med högt och lågt från Frankfurt IAA 2011. Har haft en grym resa ihop med resten av killarna från Superior Media som har bjudit på många minnen och framförallt en stor portion erfarenhet på vad som kan förbättras till nästa gång. Vi känner oss rätt hemma på mässor och träffar här i Sverige, men det var som rookie man kom till en av världens nyhetstätaste mässor. Mesta tiden gick åt till att filma "100 seconds of.." och allt det materialet kommer samlas i denna tråden: FILMER
Nedan följer det första lilla axplocket av bilder från mig och text från Micke på Superior. Håll tillgodo så länge och se till att prenumerera på tråden så ni inte missar uppdateringarna!
(Starting out with heavy hands, we got this MANSORY deamon of a car for you. This Ferrari 458 Italia have got any carbon bit you could ask for, and for those who feel “there is never too much of it” I dare to say this is a real dreamcar. They had several of the worlds premium vehichles at their stand and did everything in black and white which was quite sexy. But why do I get the feeling the JDM tuning-scene knew about the goodness of this like 10 years ago already…?)
(There were dozens of world premieres going on all the time, and we gave up after the third or fourth one eventhough some were quite a show to witness. This is from Subarus stand unveiling their new Subaru XV they call a “compact SUV”. To be honest comparing this presentation with something the bigger brands had made it look quite… simple. But I’ll never forget Martins reenactment of it later on our hotel, with perfection capturing the moment by crossing two socks over a shoe… Oh you had to be there to get it.)
(We’ll have a lot more from the Aston Martin stand as well, which was somehow a dissapointment lacking totally in flair and cars just “mashed in” together. How can you feel otherwise when I actually had to take my second lap of this place to spot the One-77 they had brought along? Since its one of my personal dreamcars I took a real close look and confirmed what I suspected; this car doesnt look nearly as much of a supercar on pics as in person. The lines are just “too perfect” to understand how wide and mean it really is from just a picture. What do you feel about the colour?)
(There were plenty of good-looking women at the expo, and the common theme was that the classiest had Italian heritage. Naturally stands like Alfa Romeos were very popular to revisit during the day…)
(Just like you can imagine, the amount of “design concepts” being shown was almost silly. Some were just plain unnecessary as if the “if you dont have anything good to say, don’t say it at all”. Its afterall a matter of showing what the engineers in more playful and without boundries are coming up with within the brand, not a type of gimmick you must have at a large expo. With that being stated, how do you feel about this Chevrolet concept?)
(Although far from being a combination of an expo which also includes motorsport, Audi were busy showing their new Audi A5 DTM coming this season. Some brands brought their “big dawgs” in different racing classes with them as well, but it was honestly far from a priority- and they were more or less treated less then “icing on the cake”. This was actually outside of the huge built from scratch hall Audi had, proving that statement. More from inside there coming…!)
(Something we wont try and keep secret is that we really liked the Lamborghini stand at Frankfurt. A lot. Immensly even! Having two Aventador and the brand new limited edition Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale gave plenty to look at. I do know something the people did not like to look at was Martins back when we got a special moment inside the closed barriers surrounding it = you know we got gooood pics coming up.)
(The Superior Team which gives me a super occasion to individually thanking them one by one. From the left: Martin Persson (FACEBOOK FANPAGE) who was my partner all days, never afraid of some hard work and to give brutally honest opinions in decision-making. Pierre Ingelsgård who with his enthusiasm and knowledge lightyears ahead of my own in the “connoiseur” type of cars was a very valuable addition to the team, be sure to read his OTHER BLOG to know more about the charachter this dude is. And finally to my own left we got Rani "RANISFOTO.SE" Giliana who is like a younger Martin in the making, both in skills and charachter. Never ever a single whine and positive attitude to always give it his best contributing to the team. Thanks to all of you!)

Dagens första uppdatering! Denna gången med en inriktning på dom brittiska märkena, förutom Aston Martin som var såpass intressant att det kommer som ett eget galleri framöver. I samma ordning som innan kommer ett axplock av mina bilder och text från Micke på Superior. Vill ni se mer bilder från britt-galleriet och mer text hittar ni det här här, var inte rädda för att prova kommentarsknappen.

(The new Lotus Evora GTE came down like a matte yellow thunderbolt and truly stood out in proud fashion with its endless amount of pornographicly hot (!?) carbon. Its not the most original conclusion to say matte is “all the rage” right now, but picking yellow was a winning move to seperate from the rest in our opinion!)
(The most common question I got coming home was expected; “what was the best car at the expo?”. You wont have much succes asking me this, but when it comes to the chap behind the camera of these photos- the answer is certain when it comes to one selection only… Jaguar C-X16! We did duel a bit about our first impressions since I was expecting it to be more low-key, but as the “100 seconds of…” video will show- it won me over. Great concept!)
(The ladies in the Jaguar stand were as classy as the cars, not going to go “Project: Runway” on ya’ll but its great to see women being… women and not just objects to showcase certain parts- often made of plastic…)

Dags o kicka igång veckan och vi börjar med en rivstart! Lambos monter var en av dom mer uppseendeväckande både när det gäller bilar och.... annat. 
Något som gav oss anledning att komma tillbaks mer än en gång. Och precis som innan kommer ett axplock av mina bilder och text från Micke på Superior. Vill ni se mer italienska skönheter och mer text hittar ni det här här, var inte rädda för att prova kommentarsknappen.

(Lets try and put this angle of the photo into perspective, and think about how many other journalists at this moment were watching Martins behind being in the way of that one perfect shot. The timing of this photo is superb, seeing the two large monitors had all sorts of crazy video going on apart from the wild bull logo…)
(Seeing two such contrasting colours on the Aventadors was very pleasant for the eyes. I know the typical choice would be the matte black one, but the white would not be totally crossed from the list as a complement if it was just matter about Monopoly money. Where do you place your heart, white or black?)
(And here is the black Aventador with its devilish temporary owner (?). We played a little game of “car or …?” and eventhough Christian Bale will drive this in the new Batman movie the choice was certainly not clear for all of the members in the Superior Team on location in Frankfurt…)
(The Gallardo SuperTrofeo Stradale, which is the highest specified yet to come from them- very close to a racecar for the street. Rumors have it that they have done some tuning of the firing sequence on each cylinder, just to give it an even more unique sound in the exhaust. Not that a factory Gallardo is really that bad either…?)

Här kommer en ny uppdatering, denna gången på vad Asien hade att erbjuda. Detta innebar för det mesta att hänga i hallen våningen ovanför VAG/VW montern. Man kan säga att våningarna var varandras motsats när det gällde folkmängd. Väldigt otydligt hur man ens tog sig till denna andra våning, men det bidrog också med space som jag som fotograf uppskattar mer än något annat. Detta är fortfarande ett axplock av mina bilder och text från Micke på Superior. Vill ni se mycket mer av det japanska/asiatiska galleriet kolla här, var inte rädda för att prova kommentarsknappen! (Here is something odd, guess which automaker had a really talked about concept that stood out among many? Kia (!) with its bold and daring GT concept which they hope will spawn a cheap rear-wheel drive car in the future?! This one had a very luxorious feel to it, and if the gold arches around the pillars doesn’t tell the story then I doubt anything will.)
(There was some interest regarding the next generation of the Lexus GS and I think we can all safely say, this is basically a IS combined with a LS in terms of exterior looks. I think its sort of bland, and being an Toyota Aristo and Toyota Soarer owner myself I was quite fond of the previous generations front. But I doubt VIP-companies in Japan like Junction Produce will need much time to start giving the newest generation some love- and rest assured our hearts will follow to accept this generation of the GS as well…)
(This beautiful very “catwalk-materialish” model actually summarized the whole attitude of the Infiniti stand quite well. Cold, a bit stale; but with some nice content despite that. I just feel that if likewise this lady would have shown a smile or twitch, and Infiniti themselves would have put more effort into “loosening up” instead of keeping dark costume dressed goons (!)- they would have left more of an impression on us…)
(And keeping to Infiniti, here is a SUV which was a Sebastian Vettel edition with loads of damn nice carbonfibre to an often forgotten but highly desired car. What you see is what you get, nothing more then this to highlight and give a contrast to the clean exterior- I guess they tried to go “german” in a stale boring way this time in Frankfurt?)

Dags för den kanske minst heta uppdateringen här då med Fransmännens bidrag. Jag har ju ett semifranskt bilhjärta med två peugeoter i bagaget, men måste säga att det var väldigt ointressanta montrar dom hade att bjuda på med undantag för Citroëns koncept. Vi fick även utnyttjat nya DS4 Hybrid som transportmedel mellan hallarna och måste säga att kvalitetskänslan i Citroëns bilar bara blir bättre och bättre och DS4 är helt klart en snygg bil. (This is in my opinion the “sci-fi hipsters” wet dream, and Citroën did not stop at just keeping this bus-like concept just wild in itself, they actually had three young futuristicly dressed and face-painted individuals to accompany it while it spun around and around. Looks like their take on the future is that we will all look hideously bored, as we noticed they did just that with a passion; don’t ask me how you look “passionately bored”- just look at these guys…)
(At least Renault put a lively colour on their concept which actually looks quite good compared to a lot of other sportier SUV-type of vehicles on display in Frankfurt? Not digging the “Dotz-style” wheels though although they do make up for their tacky look in sheer size.)

Ett till litet galleri innan vi börjar gå på det lite tyngre artilleriet. Amerika hade inte så många tunga nyheter att bjuda på förutom två guldkorn som vi sparar till ett eget inlägg. Det som var mest dominant var Fords monter som bjöd på en fin kombination av koncept, nybilar och motorsport. Mina bilder och texten är från Micke på Superior. (I know ya’ll clicked this after reading about Corvette, but sorry to dissapoint you- there is nothing new to share here while we await some more news about the next C7 generation of the worlds most (?) historic sportscar. They did bring a C6-R racecar and also their top dog from factory in the ZR-1… But thats like stated nothing new. Is a wild thought about Corvette doing more then one type of car too rad…?)
(Ford were pretty aggressive at the expo with several sportier models being showcased, among them this Focus ST which we hope will prove to be a good car to lure “newer generations” of tuning-freaks into the world. We’ve see what the Mazda 3 MPS has done, and Iam sure if this is anything near Fords final release for the ST it will be a huge succes…)

Dags för en av mässans giganter, Mercedes-Benz. Första gången vi trädde in i deras rum var överväldigande, vad sägs om en 3 våningars monter? Gott om nyheter fanns det också, vissa trevligare än andra. Dom vi inte fokuserade så mycket på var nya B-klass, ML och SLK 55 AMG. Däremot blev det djupdyk på både CLK Black Series och SLS Roadster, framförallt på film. Mina bilder och texten är från Micke på Superior. (No, this is not a toy car and quite more serious at that. Its actually a concept Mercedes are doing to build the first real “emission free supercar”, and in the shape of the SLS AMG E-cell they are well on their way! Not going to give you too much technical data on it, but the colour called AMG Lumilectric magno was almost tough to look at without sunglasses! While Martin thought it was there to lure flies and insects away from the rest of the stand; I gave this the “markes pen/car” award of the year. Quite unique but… do you like it?!)
(Here is our favourite and a reason we went back several times, the Mercedes CLK 63 AMG Black Series. Seeing how its even more agressive then its pre-release with a bunch of carbon goodies you would expect on a Time Attack car only, it was for sure something that caught our eye. Thinking about it, even the wheels got a lot of “JDM Time Attack” shape on them.)
(Evidence #1: The Mercedes stall at Frankfurt was three stories high and had the most advanced (humongous) LED-screen we had ever seen. It actually had several dimensions in it, which is hard to explain- but putting a car sandwiched between them could make an animation that made it look like it was driving in standstill. Only thing we didnt like was that the view of the main stage was quite poor during their press-conference. But other then that, I think both me and Martin agree Mercedes took the prize of most impressive presence overall in Frankfurt 2011!)

(And here he is, the meanest but still “squarest” guy in town! Picture a Clark Kent without his glasses and innocent look, doing what his Superman alter ego does best- kick ass! We were truly raving about the front end of the car which had me thinking some toned down Ferrari F430 Scuderia design. Everything including the engine which is a Twin-turbo V8 makes perfect sense on this car…)
(…and a shot from the rear, this time in even more innocent white colour. Perhaps they went a little too subtle with it, and its possible the only part of the car I would “dress up” with something more agressive. Got any ideas?)

Två heta amerikanska koncept kommer här. Forden är modellen som ska visa designspråket för nya Fordar och Cadillacen känns mer som en kul grej. Mina bilder och texten är från Micke på Superior. (Ford has been doing well in recent years, but never achieved anything thats considered “spicy” enough for more hardcore enthusiasts as ourselves to sink our teeth in. I still consider this concept a very clean rather then wild one at first glance, but looking closer you got a lot of things to enjoy in every aspect of it. Can we say it could be one of the most balanced and in a whole most “well made” concepts of the expo?)
(Call me a nerd here, but I think even more could have been achieved here with an even more agressive sort of stance of the wheels. Iam not talking about doing a proper “Hellaflush” look, but the Ciel has every single bit of potential needed to be the absolute overlord of all VIP-cars if it really wanted. How are you guys feeling the colour BTW?)
(I cant confirm this, but could it be the worlds first “dual gull-wing” doors ever…? And the fact that such a ridiculous and unnecessary idea is pulled of in 100% fashion is… ace work by the design team! Gotto love those wheels which could also compete for the “best of” in that category at the expo, and lets also mention the colour which was one of the more vibrant candy/pearl paintjobs I have ever seen in my life!)

Sist i tyska premiumligan kommer då Audi och deras monter. Deras monter var väl inte riktigt lika stor som BMW och MB:s, men byggd från grunden ute på torget mellan alla hallar. Såg lite ut som en val om ni frågar mig, men det var säkert stylish precis som deras bilar. Jag som tagit bilderna och texten är från Micke på Superior. (With a bit of a compromise, at least Audi did bring some of their racing livery to the expo. But they did not get a seat inside the fancy built from scratch building, instead they stood in their loneliness outside a bit scuffed away. Still giving them props for showing them, the Audi A5 DTM is new for this upcoming season…)
(Here is a great shot of how it looked inside, as always with this borderline pretentious brand- we got a lot of “piano white/black” surfaces and nice tinted glasses. From this angle you dont see that there was a very small track built “around” the structure where cars passed by from time to time. The TT-RS and GT Spyder made some nice noise sometimes…)
(Another concept that is aimed towards really compact cars with attitude to roam the city with. Martin got quite attached to it on location, I just get colds shivers down my spine thinking about fitting in such a car- the future seems like a rough place for guys like me who are aroun 2m tall…)
