Hi all, im josh, 32, moved here a few months ago with the wife and kids. Wife got a transfer with her job and sick of living in shitholm..

Anyway would be nice to meet some guys/girls with similar car interests as myself (prefer people who like most cars other than Volvos)

Currently have some projects in the works but waiting to buy a house or find a decent garage to work out of and would be nice ot meet some people who possibly need some help also, noting much better than having some beers while fixing cars

also possibly looking for a job, worked as a car mech before, and im trying to find some possible performance companies here in linköping or even some companies that restore old cars etc etc  also im qualified metal engineer so welding and all types of metal jobs can work also


Anyways hope to hear from some of you guys, maybe go out grab a beer etc or fix some rusty old pieces of shit can work also

How do you like sweden so far?

We are a few people that always need a extra hand or just someoone to talk with when we are working with our cars/carsound.

Well then. What is your intrest in cars?

Engine? sound? modification? hp?

Ah damn i thought i wrote in there were i was from, anyways From Australia so my car interests are/maybe a little different to most in sweden.

Volvo's are one car i really see no point in having and or spending any money on because imo they all look like S#%T...

Other than that i have had a few rather fast cars ( flat 11 sec R32 Gtst Skyline, 12.4 sec Mazda Rx3 and a pretty quit 200sx that i never timed but i would say it was arouns 13 sec... other than that mostly runabouts and cruisers) and i prefer my cars to be very subtle close to sleepers i guess you would say.. Rotary's, Turbo 6's and V8's are they only things i like, the sound of a 4 cyl is just annoying to me..

As far as working on cars i know quite a lot about most things and if i dont know something i figure it out..

Rebuilt a few engines, stripped down cars and fixed ready for paint, installed quite a bit of ice when i was younger..

Having a good background working with metal helps a lot with what i can do also

I always think its cool with new people who has new ideas and styles, shame i live so far from linköping though.

But i get massively curious, how come you would move from such a nice country as Australia really is, to a place like Sweden?

You got some really cool cars also, are they imported or bought and modded here in Sweden?

Well like a lot of other people i guess, your not very fond of where you grow up, it becomes boring and there is never anything to do right?....

Sure Australia is a great place and suits different people but for me im not a fan of super hot temp like 35+ for a lot of the year...and the general attitude with people and lack of respect for others and for themselves also, something you notice when you live in places and not just holiday.

Now living in sweden well long story short, came to europe to travel and met my wife to be in swe so stayed here as a lot of guys seem to do.

Woah, Ya just pissed off like 80% of the car interested population in Linköping. Like goin' to Texas saying trucks sucks. :p Not really, but as you might figured Volvo is popular and the deeper in the countryside you get the deeper the love of our old boxes.

Well i dont know how to say this without sounding like a asshole so i will just say it...

Its those other 20% that would only interest me anyway, pointless to do anything with something you dont like, like listen to hip hop for example, something else i would never do or waste money on

Anyway the world would be a shitty place if everyone liked the same thing...
