Yeah, it might not be the easiest to combine a look of perfect finish with a setup that is optimum for best performance. But Stian did managed to do so and I think you'll too. It shows how serious you are, the example of the space you're covering between the pillars after the cage was being fitted into the car. You must have watched the documentary about this car several times, right? I've done so several times, at least, and I especially like the part when Jens Hanestad speaks about the engine and the part that shows the build-up of the car. For example I remember it being mentioned that the full roll cage was built completely according to the WRC specifications from '97, so I suppose that's what you're going for too. With performance terms - will it be an exact replica there too? Like a WRC engine tuned by Jenspeed and built by Stian - that would not be easy, I suppose cause wasn't it like Stian and Jens did built so much on that engine on their own. And they're so great at what they're doing. I'm not saying that you aren't as good as them, but I would just be so impressed with if you succeed with building an exact copy in all ways. I really, really hope you'll come as close as possible. Thanks a lot for your updates.

By the way, I had the plans to visit Ford Fair this year (anniversary, as you know) but I didn't got so much response on the Ford Club Swedens forum so it didn't happen unfortunately. I'll keep on getting my Ford interest served by monthly Performance Ford and Fast Ford magazines. You brits really know how to take care of your Fords, that's for sure. It's just unbelievable how much great Fords you've got and how passionate you are to them. I just love to look at pictures from the RSOC club meetings, National Day, Ford Fair and so on.

Yeah, that's great with Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts. Boy, how much I've been thinking through over the years about which fast Ford or RS Ford that is my favourite and which I would choose to own. I was born in the late 80's, grew up in the 90's so cars from that time period is often close to my heart with their design and function.

Today I think I'm gonna have to choose the RS500 as my favourite and the Saff as the one I would choose to own myself among the RS Fords (thanks to that it's not as brutal as the 3-door Sierra and more comfortable and perhaps easier to use every day). I can't modify cars but when it comes to modified, wild, performance cars I definitely have to say that I prefer the Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts above the rest.

And our neighbor country Norway has got a lot of these. They're quite much into Fords there in the tuning and hobby world, something that readeras of british Ford magazines might have noticed. But we've got some good ones here in Sweden too. I hope it's okay that I'm writing quite long sometimes, it's just so interesting to speak about fast Fords! It's not every day I got that opportunity.

in the uk it would be road legal,but over here its not as easy or testing over here means the car has to be to factory spec in alot of ways ie. car fitted with rear seats need rear seat belts in a rally or caged car this is impossible so wont pass our nct this is why is you watch any Irish ralling all the cars are uk plated for this reaon
