Greetings from Estland,

Little pre-story:):

I have purchased by chance Saab 9000 CS 2.3iA 107kw 93m.y .with minimum options, with low price and not very bad technical shape, just to deliver my ass between home and work for a couple of month......couple of months are passed and i suddenly realized, that dont need any other car at the moment,my Saab looks not usual, reliable, drives well and comfortable, almost no technical problems and easy to solve them in my friends repair shop,so i decided to keep it.Already 16 months past since i purchased it and step by step it became my hobby car. After some simple paint and polishing works, while i had able to use friends garage, car became much more attractive and close to original. Also installed leather seats, back spoiler, steeringwheel became adjustable.Somehow managed to get caps to original 15" wheels, that gone with years and previous owners. Some amount of parts were changed or renovated,so technically it is much better now,but ofcourse something left to do.
Recently i got the idea to install turbo on my Saab, because Saab without turbo-not True Saab:)

So it is the question:)
If someone know that and be so kind to respond me...Is it possible at all to install turbo on this kind of Saab, which originally not turbocharged?
If it possible, what parts will i need for this?
I understand, that it can be mad idea about this kind of Saab, but every advice is welcome)
THANK YOU.

...has left the building...

In short: Possible = yes. Financially it will be quite expensive. Non Turbo engines are basicsally not intended for Turbo due to higher geometerical compression ratio and most likely weaker connectingrods, pistons etc.
So bottom line: Don't!

As dawwe wrote, it is possible. But it would be pretty useless converting your current engine to work well with a turbo.
If you really want a turbo I would advise you to either buy a turbo engine (incl. engine management etc) or just try find a 9000 that came stock with a turbo.

Though, I have no idea of how well the used parts market in Est suits saabs or if you have the slightest chance of finding another car..
Judging by our market the whole process would be costly and not at all worth it, when you can find decent turbo saabs for a bargain..

If you would have an turbo on your car, the only thing you can do is to change the electrical system in your car. Take the wiring from a saab 9000 -94 or newer, but you have to get some electrical things from the newer car, like abs system and so on... but if you are very good att electrical things, you can change the engine and install a t5.5 engine managament system, stand alone from the other part of the cars electrical system. But after all its more worth to buy a saab with turbo directly!
